“Telephone” is the new single from Tekno, Vybz Kartel and Dre Skull.

On “Telephone,” Dre Skull cooks up a cool and breezy riddim, with sonically spacious seventh chords anchored by a driving, syncopated synth bass. This serves as the foundation for Tekno and Vybz Kartel to takeover and shine. Tekno starts things off effortlessly floating over the riddim, his voice hypnotizing with nonchalance and charisma. Kartel joins in with the efficient catchiness of a nursery rhyme and builds from there into a syncopated chat flexing his commanding ability to ride any riddim.

Tekno is one of Nigeria’s biggest stars, with solo hit songs such as “Pana” and “Skeletun” and features and production credits for global stars such as Beyonce and Drake. Meanwhile, Jamaican superstar Vybz Kartel continues to dominate dancehall, with an impressive career spanning decades and more hit songs than anyone could count. They are united by Mixpak label boss Dre Skull–known for his songwriting and production work with Popcaan, Wizkid, Drake, Jorja Smith, Burna Boy and more.
